Timothy Mbugua Philip Kunz, born on 22 October 1996, passed away on 8 June 2024 at the age of 27. We miss our son and brother every single day.
With the Timothy Spirit Foundation, we aim to keep his spirit and his values alive. Our mission is to strengthen, inspire and open new perspectives for young people facing challenging life circumstances. We are committed to carrying forward Timothy’s social concerns, his aspirations and his vision of a fairer, more compassionate world.

FOCUS AREAS
Young people in difficult life circumstances often lack hope and confidence; they face a shortage of clear guidance and positive perspectives. This can lead to deep personal suffering, including suicidality.
These difficulties have consequences not only for those affected but also for their families and social circles, as well as for society at large, which loses valuable potential and bears considerable social and economic costs.
The aim of the Timothy Spirit Foundation is to create opportunities and perspectives for young people in challenging situations, to support the development of their strengths and to promote pathways towards independent, self-determined lives.

The Timothy Spirit Foundation develops, launches and manages projects, but also collaborates with other organisations and supports existing initiatives with comparable aims. The Foundation’s three primary focus areas are:
Social Empowerment
Promoting independence and self-determination among young people in difficult life situations by supporting the targeted development of their skills.
Mental Health
Supporting innovative approaches to the treatment of mental illness (especially dual diagnoses) in young people.
Public Good
Supporting charitable organisations that Timothy contributed to during his lifetime; contributing to addiction prevention and addiction support in Switzerland.
